A fantastic paddling escape!

The choice is yours, we have two exciting options for your consideration:

Option 1: Launch from our Gananoque facility into the Admiralty and Lake Fleet Islands for three days of paddling and two nights of camping in the St. Lawrence Islands National Park.  On day three we return to the Gananoque facility. This exciting return trip is designed so you experience the secrets of the islands while never seeing the same area twice.

Option 2: Launching from our Gananoque facility we will explore the Admiralty and Lake Fleet Islands and beyond for five exciting days of paddling and four nights of camping on different islands within the St. Lawrence Islands National Park.  Our final takeout will bring us near Brockville, Ontario where we will shuttle back to our Gananoque facility.  This unique one way trip allows you to explore a larger area of the St. Lawrence.

Paddling the 1000 Islands is our specialty and we can’t wait for you to wander deep into the secret paddling treasures of the islands.  Our camping trips are beginner-friendly and children are encouraged to participate; no experience is necessary. Children between the ages of 6 to 10 are required to paddle in a tandem kayak with an adult.

Itinerary

Day 1: Introduction to the Islands

Whether you are on our 3-day, 2-night trip or our 5-day, 4-night trip, your program begins on Day 1 at 8 am at our facility in Gananoque. You will unload your personal gear at our facility, before you head to find parking. At 9 am you will meet the rest of the campers and your instructors, before heading to your kayaks. Dry bags will be provided for your personal items to pack into the kayak. A detailed list of what to bring is included on our website as well as in the confirmation package.

Once on the water, your guide will ensure everyone is comfortable in their boat and has a handle on the basic strokes with a Kayaking 101 lesson, before crossing into the Admiralty Group of islands. Let the adventure begin!

Days 2 - 4: Choose Your Own Adventure

Each day starts off with a delectable breakfast prepared by your talented guide. We will be exploring various segments of the 1000 Islands each day. Lunch will be served on one of the National Park islands, and deciding where to swim may be the toughest decision you have to make during lunchtime.. There will also be plenty of opportunities for photographing the natural beauty you will see along the way. Each evening we will set up camp, and have another home-cooked meal and enjoy a campfire where you can share your daily adventures.

For the 3-day, 2-night camping tour, we set up base camp the first evening after exploring the Admiralty islands, and on Day 2 we will travel to other National Park Islands in the Lake Fleet islands returning to base camp in the evening where your tents, personal gear, a fresh stack of firewood and an amazing dinner awaits.

For the 5-day, 4-night camping tour, we travel further afield from the Admiralty and Lake Fleet islands toward Grenadier Island, Mallorytown Landing and the Brockville islands. We will explore the various inlets and other spectacular sights along the way. Each day, we will break camp and travel to the next destination where we will set up camp before enjoying a gourmet dinner and campfire before we settle in for the night.

Final Day

Day 3 of the 3-day, 2-night trip begins with a lazy breakfast and pack up of camp. The rest of the day is spent wandering back through another section of the Admiralty Islands toward Gananoque with lunch and swimming breaks. We are off the water at 4:00 pm to give you enough time to clean up before your evening plans in Gananoque.

Day 5 of the 5-day, 4-night trip also begins with a scrumptious breakfast before we pack up camp. The rest of the day is spent meandering through the Brockville islands before heading to our take-out point near the Town of Brockville.  We are off the water by 3:00 pm where our shuttle will meet you to take you back to our Gananoque facility about 40 minutes away. This will give you plenty of  time to clean up for your journey home or to get ready for  your evening in Gananoque.

Either way, you will have plenty of stories to re-count from your experience with us on the St Lawrence River.
