No Boat? No Problem! Let us take you to your 1000 Islands river destination!

Our Boat Shuttle Service is designed to allow those without a mode of transportation on the water to enjoy and explore the 1000 Islands, with family and friends.  Whether you want to spend a weekend camping with family on one of the National Park Islands, or you would like to enjoy your day on the beach at Leek Island!  We have an option that will work for you. Adventure in the 1000 Islands this summer and leave the boating to us!

We at 1000 Islands Kayaking, want you to get the most of the river this summer because let's be honest, it's a great place to be!  Picnicing with your family at Macdonald Island, exploring wildlife at Beau Rivage, or soaking up the sun on a kayaking adventure through the islands. Want to rent a kayak for your camping adventure but don't have enough room for all your gear?  We will help in any way we can, to ensure you leave the 1000 Islands smiling! Our boat shuttle service runs on a Pre-Registration basis, from our dock at the Gananoque Harbor.  

Shuttle Schedule

The boat shuttle can only be guaranteed, to be operating, when booked at least 48 hours in advance. If you request a booking, with less than 48 hours notice, we may be able to arrange for the shuttle, but cannot guarantee it's availability. The shuttle will depart and return to our facility in Gananoque, during our hours of operation, between  9am-5pm. 


Basic Shuttle - Adult $45.00 + tax, Youth (Under 17) $25 + tax

*Minimum two people to run a shuttle time slot.

*Maximum of six people per boat shuttle time slot.

Gear Shuttle - $150.00 + tax

*Pricing is per boat, if an additional boat is needed you will be charged the gear shuttle fee again.


Basic Shuttles Include:

  • Round trip to the destination of your choice, between Ivy Lea and Gananoque
  • Life Jacket
  • Scattered time slots for your convenience
  • Safe ride from an experienced driver
  • Bringing any gear you may have with you
  • Knowledgeable staff to help guide and advise you on activities to do within the Islands


Gear Shuttles Include:

  • Round trip for your gear to the destination of your choice, between Ivy Lea and Gananoque
  • Scattered time slots for your convenience
  • Staff to drop off, transport, and ensure your gear is safe at your campsite for your arrival

*Camping gear rentals are available at $45/night, based on two people.


Please note our cancellation policies include:

If 1000 Islands Kayaking cancels a shuttle for any reason, you will receive a 100% refund on your trip or you may choose to be transferred to another trip date. We will cancel trips for dangerous conditions based on our discretion.

A 25% administration fee will be kept regardless of the reason if you cancel a shuttle.

Please note: we DO NOT have parking specific to our facility. Please read the following, for your options. 

May-June, September-October:There is parking available along Main Street and Kate Street, free of charge. There is also a public parking lot on Kate Street. 

July-August: In addition to parking on Main Street, the Town of Gananoque offers a free shuttle service to alleviate some congestion at the waterfront.  Please allocate extra time before your trip, to park and shuttle to our area. It is centrally located in the heart of the 1000 Islands and serves a vast region including Brockville, Cornwall, Kingston, Belleville, Ottawa and surrounding areas.  The 1000 Islands are one of the most beautiful regions for Kayaking in Ontario and Canada.
