If you are a member or coordinator for a youth organization, our day trips are a great, hassle-free opportunity to get on the water. Groups between 8 to 64 participants qualify for special group rates.
Some of the groups we have worked with have included sports and/or social clubs, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Community Living and many youth and church groups.
If you have a special occasion or are just looking for a unique way to get together for an active, fun and memorable experience, give us a call to discuss your plans. We can build a custom program for your group that meets your timeline and purpose of the trip.
Custom programs must be comprised of 8 or more individuals, otherwise regular day trip or overnight rates apply.
This tour includes:

- safety gear

- one full day of kayaking
Costs: full day $55 +HST per child
Important to note…
- Please pack your own lunch to enjoy on a Thousand Island National Park Island.
- Youth groups are allowed one free supervisor volunteer for every 16 children participating. Any additional parents, staff or volunteers beyond this allocation are subject to regular participant fees.
- Maximum group size is 36 youth plus 3 volunteers (will split into 3 small groups of 12 youth plus one supervisor).
If you are ready to book your group, please give us a call to explore potential dates, numbers of participants and discuss any special objectives you would like to get out of the day. We will send you a promotional flyer and confirmation package to distribute to your group to help build excitement and explain the details of the trip.
Please note that every participant will be required to fill out a medical history form and submit it to us confidentially on-line. We will contact you 48 hours prior to trip departure to confirm who has completed their registration. If there are individuals missing from this list, please contact them directly and ensure they submit this necessary information.
Programs booked through 1000 Islands Kayaking must be paid for at the time of registration, in the form of a cheque, Mastercard, or Visa. Participant numbers will be finalized 48 hours prior to the trip and will appear on the invoice. Please call us directly for last minute participant additions to ensure we can accommodate them.
In order for individual group members to pay separately, they are asked to call into the office, no later than 48 hours prior to your trip departure
Cancellation policy for youth groups
Our goal with our youth group programs, is to provide young people with an educational adventure throughout the 1000 Islands region. In order to organize for larger groups, we must allocate guides and equipment to the program. For this reason, if cancellations occur with less than 15 days notice, we are unable to provide a refund. For cancellations of more than 15 days, a refund less a 25% administration fee, will be issued.
Please understand that even if you have a sudden medical program o family emergency, we will not be able to provide the 75% refund, without 15 days notice.
Our guided youth group programs operate rain or shine.
If 1000 Islands Kayaking cancels a program due to weather or insufficient registration, we will offer to alter your dates, free of charge, or provide you with a full refund.

PLEASE NOTE: We DO NOT have parking specific to our facility. Parking is available along residential streets ( Main Street,John street, and South street) free of charge. A public parking lot ( overnight and day parking)can be found at 760 Stone Street free of charge. Please note this parking lot requires a taxi to get to our facility. Parking can also be found at the Gananoque Municipal Marina for daily and overnight parking, there is a fee at this lot.
