Our half-day guided trips are beginner-friendly and our guides are nationally certified. Half-day guided trips must be prebooked and will depart daily from our Gananoque waterfront location at 110 Kate Street in Gananoque. A minimum of two participants is required.
Each half-day trip begins with an introduction to your instructor, your gear and a complete on-water lesson. For the beginner, you will be introduced to new concepts and for the intermediate, your instructor will help you improve your stroke technique and provide helpful tips. Although our boats are very stable and comfortable, your guide will always be close to lend a helping hand.

Cancellation Policy for Guided Kayak Tours
CLICK HERE TO READ OUR COMPANY POLICIES. Our goal with the guided kayak tours, is to provide our clients with an intimate experience in the 1000 Islands region. In order to run our guided tours, we must organize our guides and equipment, at least 48 hours in advance of the program date. For this reason, if cancellation occurs with less than 48 hours notice, we are unable to provide a refund. For cancellations of more than 48 hours, a refund less a 25% administration fee, will be issued.
Please understand that even if you have a sudden medical problem or family emergency, we will not be able to provide the 75% refund, without 48 hours notice.
Our guided tours will operate rain or shine and we will provide the necessary equipment to make both options enjoyable.
If 1000 Islands Kayaking cancels a program due to weather or insufficient registration, we will offer to alter your date, free of charge, or provide you with a full refund.

PLEASE NOTE: We DO NOT have parking specific to our facility. Parking is available along residential streets ( Main Street,John street, and South street) free of charge. A public parking lot ( overnight and day parking)can be found at 760 Stone Street for a fee ( Paid with the Honk Mobile app, $8.00 per day, or $25.00 for the weekend). Please note this parking lot requires a taxi to get to our facility. Parking can also be found at the Gananoque Municipal Marina for daily and overnight parking, there is a fee at this lot.
